Hello 2015

I've never been one for New Year's resolutions.  So I don't have any big list of dreams and goals for this year.  There is one thing, though, that I want to work on, and that is my little Barefoot Gypsy Mama business I started last June. 

It is still VERY small and most sales have probably been to friends.  I'd love to grow my business by summer and make some good sales.  I know this will take intention and discipline on my part to put in the time. That is where I usually fall short.  I'm SUCH a procrastinator.  But the other difficult part for me is NETWORKING.  Ugh, that word.  I'm not one for small talk and finding things to say and talk about when there is no conversation happening, so, to do that publicly, every day, on social media is exhausting to think about.  At least I can do all this by sitting on my butt drinking coffee and eating sweets.  That *does* sweeten the deal a bit....literally.

So, if anyone has any advice, feel free to share! :)

Brinley Jo

Oh sweet, Brinley.  My cousin's little girl.  Their first baby.  She was born exactly 4 weeks before her "due date" but still weighed in at a beautiful 5lbs 9.2oz!  I was pretty excited to shoot newborn photos of her as I have never done GIRL newborn photos before!  She was a little older than the average newborn for a newborn photoshoot (6 weeks, instead of 1-2 weeks) but she was still so petite and squishy.  The waiting is always the key to photographing babies and children.  Patience.  Wait, and be ready.  We spent a good deal of time waiting for her to fall asleep or stop squirming, but I'm not complaining!  Who doesn't love to sit and stare at an adorable baby?  So even though she doesn't sleep as much anymore, being older, I am still very pleased with how this session turned out!  The patience paid off! ;)  It was a pleasure to finally meet you, Brinley Jo.

Asher- 3 months // Aurora & Aradai

I got to take his newborn photos months ago, and I also got to take his 3 month photos (also months ago, lol)!  This little boy is so full of joy!  This time, Asher's big brother and sister got to take pictures with him as well :)  Again, I should've shared these photos long ago, but alas, here they are!
